The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prudencio Pueblo in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Lando saved Papin from getting behind. Bruno Oihan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Elequemedo made a huge save. Reynaldo Elequemedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Reynaldo Elequemedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Hartz. Nemesio Gaitan took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Lando. Ismael Lando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 23 minutes of play, Independiente's Baldomiro Naelio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Lando was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Prudencio Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Naelio scored 1-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Lando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Papin getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Manuel Hartz hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Naelio notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Papin's Ismael Lando. Ismael Lando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Eriberto Misael put in a rough tackle. In the 44th minute, one of Papin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Papin. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Independiente. Prudencio Pueblo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ismael Lando. 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.
Ismael Lando was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baldomiro Naelio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 54 minute of play. Ismael Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Reynaldo Elequemedo came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Papin's Bruno Oihan. But to his dismay, Bruno Oihan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Naelio in the 64th minute of play forced Papin's goalkeeper Ismael Lando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Bruno Oihan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Elequemedo. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Elequemedo should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd match minute, Papin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Virila to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Naelio got free with Ismael Lando in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 76 in the game by Prudencio Pueblo from a close distance when the talented Ismael Lando managed to make a qualified save. Papin's players were relieved. Ismael Lando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Naelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Prudencio Pueblo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Lando. Papin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Pueblo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-7. Ismael Lando made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Prudencio Pueblo sent off a good shot on target. In the 87thth minute of the game Baldomiro Naelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papin's Ismael Lando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Hartz in the 89th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Reynaldo Elequemedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Papin's Bruno Oihan got a free kick in the 90th minute. Ismael Lando made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Baldomiro Naelio sent off a good shot on target. In the 96thth minute of the game Baldomiro Naelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papin's Ismael Lando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 98th minute, Pastor Umbruso made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Elequemedo. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-7. The Papin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Independiente's performance. The match ended with a win for Independiente.
