Augusto Bernal's late challenge caught a AC Cuneo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 28 played minutes AC Cuneo got a freekick which was hit by Décio Hoffmann. Lázaro Diagur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Quexal in the 31st minute of the match. Denis Montes might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lázaro Diagur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Montes ran back to his position shaking his head. Denis Montes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lázaro Diagur having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to AC Cuneo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Décio Hoffmann hit a great ball. Cristo Gelmiro, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal.
