Explosivos FC's Gerardo Eudoxio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajetan von Egidy in the 3rd minute of play. After 6 minutes of play, Deportivo Muñiz's Elvio Presebal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerardo Eudoxio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Explosivos FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Eudoxio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Edgard deconinck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerardo Eudoxio. Explosivos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard deconinck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the Explosivos FC defense, Kajetan von Egidy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Eudoxio. The Explosivos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Eudoxio should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kajetan von Egidy in the 19th minute of play forced Explosivos FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Eudoxio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Elvio Presebal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Muñiz's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Presebal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Eudoxio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the game, Dario Shantala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Explosivos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Muñiz the free kick. Julio Loiola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerardo Eudoxio having to make a save. In the 28th minute, Elvio Presebal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerardo Eudoxio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Presebal in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Elvio Presebal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Eudoxio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard deconinck to strike the kick off in the second half. Gerardo Eudoxio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Krasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Deportivo Muñiz's Quinto Pagès played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Turi in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Explosivos FC's Daniel Turi got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Daniel Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinto Pagès saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Gerardo Eudoxio managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Deportivo Muñiz's Kajetan von Egidy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Explosivos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Sebastian Barto hit a great ball. Deportivo Muñiz made a substitution. Eriberto Mel replaced Bruno Vermudo. After a rather tough play, Explosivos FC's Sebastian Barto got a free kick in the 68th minute. Deportivo Muñiz's Julio Loiola couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Explosivos FC. If Daniel Turi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerardo Eudoxio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kajetan von Egidy in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Explosivos FC's Benjamin Todor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Benjamin Todor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Explosivos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Benjamin Todor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Deportivo Muñiz made a substitution. Constantino Esquipula replaced Edgard deconinck. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Muñiz. Kajetan von Egidy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gerardo Eudoxio. 0-4. When the match was over Deportivo Muñiz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Explosivos FC throughout the match.
