A collision led to Banfield getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Isidro Prejun hit a great ball. Camilo Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. During the 38th minute of the match Nicasio Quexal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicasio Quexal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Americo Astigar came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield's Luis Silviano. But to his dismay, Luis Silviano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 45 minutes into the match, Royman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Isauro came free, but Americo Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Americo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Semeno in the 46th minute of play. Americo Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Isauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Banfield were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basilio Sanson was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Banfield's Luis Silviano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Americo Astigar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ubaldo Isauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Astigar having to interfere. Royman FC's Americo Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Silviano in the 76th minute of play. Americo Astigar came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield's Adrian Semeno. But to his dismay, Adrian Semeno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Filomeno Balasi hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Joel Gunnarsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Americo Astigar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saturnino Piarres hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Banfield played a much better game than Royman FC and deserved their victory. The Royman FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
