After 3 played minutes Payogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Fanuco. Pastor Lope was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. Despechá F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 8th minute, Despechá F.C.'s Pastor Lope ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gervasio Orlondo. Gervasio Orlondo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Blas Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Payogasta AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Blas Lizbeth hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Payogasta AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Orlondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Lope. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Eulalio Illart took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gervasio Orlondo to make any attempt to save it. After 23 played minutes Payogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Fanuco. Vicente Policarpio hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Gervasio Orlondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Illart in the 29th minute of play. If Eriberto Galo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Blas Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Salas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Vicente Policarpio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th play minute Pastor Lope came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gervasio Orlondo. 3-1. Eulalio Illart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pastor Lope blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervasio Orlondo having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto Galo made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Payogasta AFC's Arnaldo Fanuco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arnaldo Fanuco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Payogasta AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arnaldo Fanuco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 51st minute, one of Payogasta AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Payogasta AFC. 58 minutes into the match, Vicente Policarpio notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Payogasta AFC's Gervasio Orlondo. Gervasio Orlondo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adolfo Bortzaioriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Iker Salas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes of play, Despechá F.C.'s Pastor Lope made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervasio Orlondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 76th minute, Arnoldo Basualdo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despechá F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Alfredo Remir charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Remir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernabe Honrio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervasio Orlondo. Payogasta AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Payogasta AFC's Gervasio Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Policarpio in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Despechá F.C.'s Iker Salas got control of the ball when Blas Lizbeth tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Pastor Lope had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Orlondo. Payogasta AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Lope was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. After 96 played minutes Despechá F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Thomas. Gervasio Orlondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Lope in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Despechá F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
