If Lázaro Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Veremundo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Hernan Dorio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. In the 32nd minute, Eleuterio Orlandus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita FC's zone, Andres Soter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Dorio came out of the goal and Andres Soter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boca Juniors's Lázaro Veremundo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chacarita FC's Hernan Dorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Quinito in the 37th minute of play. Hernan Obeko kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Veremundo in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Dorio saved Chacarita FC from getting behind. Hernan Obeko charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernan Obeko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Chacarita FC got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Obeko. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lázaro Veremundo made a kick off. Leon Quinito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleuterio Bembe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Tartalo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Lázaro Veremundo, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Boca Juniors's Luciano Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eleuterio Orlandus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Hernan Dorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chacarita FC's Hermengildo Rik got a free kick in the 65th minute. A collision led to Chacarita FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Hernan Obeko hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Lázaro Veremundo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Dorio was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. If Leon Quinito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Quinto kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Andres Soter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Dorio having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chacarita FC could leave the field as winners, despite Boca Juniors having more of the ball for most of the match.
