Ovidio Milio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Fabricio Toli notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PECHOS FRÍOS's Basilio Isaio. Basilio Isaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basilio Isaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Sadurni in the 39th minute of play. When Fabricio Toli came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the El Mardel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Toli couldn't finish the play. If Fabricio Toli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PECHOS FRÍOS's Honorio Etxatxu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hilario Sadurni made a kick off. The supporters of El Mardel booed when PECHOS FRÍOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Iratzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, PECHOS FRÍOS's Isidoro Nalo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Baltasar Mitxel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Basilio Isaio. PECHOS FRÍOS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilario Sadurni in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basilio Isaio saved PECHOS FRÍOS from getting behind. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind El Mardel's goalkeeper Cecilio Otoniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Nalo during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sixto Onofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Isaio having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, PECHOS FRÍOS's goalkeeper Basilio Isaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidio Milio. Fabricio Toli's late challenge caught a PECHOS FRÍOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabricio Toli helped the player get up and apologised. Fabricio Toli hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Virgilio Matei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecilio Otoniel was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Hilario Sadurni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Isaio having to interfere. The El Mardel supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El Mardel would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
