Genaro Caton charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Caton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of El Dragón del Sur booed when Udpimango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Caton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Udpimango 's zone, Ryan Giggs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Perrando came out of the goal and Ryan Giggs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Opilano in the 16th minute of play forced Udpimango 's goalkeeper Abel Perrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Perrando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Urre in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Leon Opilano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Abel Perrando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. El Dragón del Sur's Leon Opilano got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Ryan Giggs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Perrando was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 27th minute, Ryan Giggs made a precise shot to the right of Abel Perrando. Udpimango 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to Udpimango getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Samuel Hever hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Lázaro Oihan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Perrando skillfully saved the ball. Udpimango 's Abel Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Opilano in the 35th minute of play. If Ryan Giggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Udpimango 's Gogo Valiente got a free kick in the 38th minute. Severo Anaya hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Abel Perrando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Oihan in the 39th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Igor Oinaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Udpimango players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Dragón del Sur were winning 0-3.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Lázaro Oihan put in a rough tackle. In the 51st minute, one of El Dragón del Sur:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Dragón del Sur. The audience was convinced that Candido Urre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Perrando was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Silvestre Colon kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. If Romeo Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Candido Urre managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Dragón del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Urre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Perrando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes Udpimango got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Valiente. In the 70th minute, Ryan Giggs made a precise shot to the right of Abel Perrando. Udpimango 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Aritz Casado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Valiente in the 80th minute of the match. If Romeo Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Urre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Perrando having to interfere. Genaro Caton kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Marciano Rumaldo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 93 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 97th minute, El Dragón del Sur's Romeo Costante dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. El Dragón del Sur's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
