To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Ostots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Teofilo Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilo Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Valiente in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Ubaldo Paskal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Udpimango 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Paskal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Erramu hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ubaldo Paskal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ciro Abadie fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosales's protests and gave Ciro Abadie a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rosales getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ciro Abadie hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Colon in the 57th minute of play forced Rosales's goalkeeper Teofilo Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Navarro was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Ubaldo Paskal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ubaldo Paskal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Abel Perrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Cebo in the 66th minute of play. Udpimango 's Abel Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Abadie in the 68th minute of play. Arturo Ostots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gogo Valiente came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Udpimango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Valiente couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Navarro came out of the goal and Modesto Sayveon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Ostots fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Navarro having to interfere.
