After a defensive mix-up in Empedrado FC's zone, Enrique Romo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Lixandro came out of the goal and Enrique Romo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Santo Clementi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Empedrado FC's protests and gave Santo Clementi a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Empedrado FC got a freekick which was hit by Santo Clementi. Fulgencio Indalecio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodosio Oihan struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Anselmo Quintan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empedrado FC. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Indalecio to make the kick off. When Santo Clementi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Empedrado FC's Santo Clementi got a free kick in the 56th minute. Eusebio Peio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Lixandro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Empedrado FC defense, Teobaldo Silviano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Lixandro. The Empedrado FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Lixandro should have stopped the shot. If Eusebio Peio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Lixandro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Peio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Peio in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Lixandro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Fusion FS getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fernan Felipo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Empedrado FC's zone, Eusebio Peio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Lixandro came out of the goal and Eusebio Peio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Peio in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Lixandro saved Empedrado FC from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Gabriel Goito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Empedrado FC's Gabriel Goito got a free kick in the 86th minute. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Teodosio Oihan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eusebio Peio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Lixandro having to make a save. Rodrigo Lixandro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Peio's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Ezequiel Sasoin made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fusion FS's Fernan Felipo. In the 96thth minute of the game Eusebio Peio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Empedrado FC's Rodrigo Lixandro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Empedrado FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
