The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaias Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Isidoro Gaskon threw the ball into play from the sideline. C. S. y D. Luis Beltrán's Simon Hurko quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Juan Asur came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the C. S. y D. Luis Beltrán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Asur couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Sporting's zone, Benedicto Canor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clayton Clayton came out of the goal and Benedicto Canor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute of the match Patricio Urbez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaias Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Clayton Clayton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Asur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, C.A. Sporting's Leonel Demesio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaias Garcia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Asur in the 28th minute of play forced C.A. Sporting's goalkeeper Clayton Clayton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clayton Clayton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Asur went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, C. S. y D. Luis Beltrán's Juan Asur dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Clayton Clayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Canor in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Demesio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, C. S. y D. Luis Beltrán's Freddy Lertxun got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, C.A. Sporting's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Lertxun came free, but Clayton Clayton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A. Sporting's Clayton Clayton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Canor in the 57th minute of play. Juan Asur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute C. S. y D. Luis Beltrán were awarded a corner. Juan Asur went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C.A. Sporting's goalie and right to Benedicto Canor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C.A. Sporting's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Clayton Clayton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Asur in the 70th minute of play. Freddy Lertxun charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddy Lertxun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luis Beltrán's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
