Dante Oinatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Idacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Guerau during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Baunicmax's Benigno Guerau got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Baunicmax's zone, Zacarias Maties stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Fernandez came out of the goal and Zacarias Maties tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irinel Jienescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Baunicmax's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Dominic came free, but Angelino Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Obano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Idacio in the 40th minute of play forced Haile Selassie's goalkeeper Dante Oinatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Haile Selassie's goalkeeper Dante Oinatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iker Matia. Angelino Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Maties in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnoldo Cidro made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Silvio Norino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelino Fernandez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dagoberto Vides. 61 minutes into the match, Haile Selassie's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Idacio came free, but Dante Oinatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Cidro in the 64th minute of play. Dante Oinatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Matia in the 66th minute of play. Iker Matia took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Oinatz. Dante Oinatz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 80 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Baunicmax's goalkeeper Angelino Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Cidro. Oscar Osoitz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Matia in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Oinatz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelino Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Dominic in the 87th minute of the match. Dante Oinatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iker Matia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Haile Selassie booed when Club Atletico Baunicmax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Osoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zacarias Maties came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Haile Selassie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Maties couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Club Atletico Baunicmax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Idacio to maneuver through the defense. Haile Selassie played a much better game than Club Atletico Baunicmax and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Baunicmax players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
