The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nestor Balasi kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Teodoro Baldovino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monroe AFC. 27 minutes into the game, Carlos Darien recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teodoro Baldovino. Carlos Darien showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Leon Geofredo fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monroe AFC's protests and gave Leon Geofredo a yellow card for diving instead. Feliberto Pueblo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 37th minute, Monroe AFC's Carlos Darien dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 44th minute, Monroe AFC's Carlos Darien dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Carlos Darien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Teodoro Baldovino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

David Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Geronimo Eguen struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Fidel Nevada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fabiano. In the 57th minute, Fabiano's Bernardo Sengrat dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Sengrat in the 65th minute of play forced Monroe AFC's goalkeeper Fidel Nevada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bernardo Sengrat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Estevez kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Monroe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Darien. Bernardo Sengrat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Nevada having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Monroe AFC's Carlos Darien nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Baldovino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. A collision led to Monroe AFC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tomas Nisio hit a great ball. If Bernardo Sengrat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Monroe AFC were the better team. Monroe AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
