After 19 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Unax. Ezequiel Bertran kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gogo Stanislao to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gogo Stanislao during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Stelian Brăiloiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gervasio Orlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River Plate's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gervasio Orlo 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Octavio Unax's late challenge caught a Tehuelches FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Unax helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River Plate! When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, Tehuelches FC's Stelian Brăiloiu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leonides Katia. River Plate succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tehuelches FC had controlled the match.
