The supporters of Los titanes booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Stanislao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Katia made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Cosme Lleir sent off a good shot on target. Leonides Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincenty Pryputnicki in the 38th minute of the match. After 40 minutes of play, Los titanes's Joaquin Esdras made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Katia was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alfredo Loreto made the kick off in the second half. Wincenty Pryputnicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Katia having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Ezequiel Barto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Katia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. There was no doubt that Los titanes were the better team. Los titanes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
