The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Lleir got free with Leonides Katia in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. River Plate's Leonides Katia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, River Plate's Leonides Katia got control of the ball when Cosme Lleir tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonides Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Dei in the 69th minute of the match. River Plate's Leonides Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Dei in the 90th minute of play. Miguel Dei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Katia having to interfere.
