The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Adolfo Mederi a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Mederi. The audience was convinced that Teofilo Urdaspal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernan Eduino was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Azucena FC's Fernan Eduino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Ostots in the 18th minute of play. Amadeo Barea was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Damaso Obeko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damaso Obeko really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 30th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Incendio to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Obeko took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeo Barea. Teofilo Urdaspal hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 48 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Urdaspal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Adolfo Mederi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Eduino having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Angelino Savion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Amadeo Barea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Azucena FC's goalkeeper Fernan Eduino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Hipolito Maore got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Florencio Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Barea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofilo Urdaspal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Fernan Eduino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Damaso Obeko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Barea. The River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Azucena FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
