Baltasar Javiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Narciso Panpili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Mannie hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Huracán's zone, Pedro Dominic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Orixe came out of the goal and Pedro Dominic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Baltasar Javiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, River Plate FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baltasar Javiar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mauro Orixe came out of the goal and Pedro Dominic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sivert Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Virila in the 47th minute of play. After the first half River Plate FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Virila made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Mauro Orixe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Dominic got free with Mauro Orixe in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Club Atlético Huracán's Mauro Orixe got control of the ball when Pedro Dominic tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Virila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Martinsson having to interfere. Baltasar Javiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sivert Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Huracán's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Panpili came free, but Mauro Orixe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Orixe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Dominic in the 75th minute. Club Atlético Huracán's Mauro Orixe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Huracán from getting a goal against them. In the last second Mauro Orixe throw himself and got hold of the ball when Narciso Panpili in the 80thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Mauro Orixe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sivert Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Javiar in the 94th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Club Atlético Huracán got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Umea. The River Plate FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing River Plate FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
