An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Vistruario in the 3rd minute of play forced Democracia y Golf Pampa's goalkeeper Freddy Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Democracia y Golf Pampa's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Vistruario came free, but Freddy Medero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Quinton in the 7th minute of play forced Democracia y Golf Pampa's goalkeeper Freddy Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Vistruario took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Medero. Freddy Medero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Vistruario in the 12th minute of play forced Democracia y Golf Pampa's goalkeeper Freddy Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes, Edgardo Bryant made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Democracia y Golf Pampa's Freddy Medero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Freddy Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Vistruario in the 18th minute of play. Fidel Sugar lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atletico River Plate! Esteban Aresti shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Club Atletico River Plate's Júlio Vasconcelos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico River Plate from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Democracia y Golf Pampa's Feliciano Salvator got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Paolo Magdaleno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Medero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute Club Atletico River Plate were awarded a corner. Paolo Magdaleno went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Club Atletico River Plate's Paolo Magdaleno to fire away a dangerous shot which Freddy Medero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Patricio Vistruario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Medero having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Cayetano Aresti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Democracia y Golf Pampa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico River Plate the free kick. Freddy Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Vistruario in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Democracia y Golf Pampa booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Bryant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Club Atletico River Plate were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Esteban Aresti made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Club Atletico River Plate's Patricio Vistruario ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Freddy Medero. Freddy Medero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 63rd match minute, Club Atletico River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Bryant to maneuver through the defense. When Cayetano Aresti was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. The supporters of Club Atletico River Plate booed when Democracia y Golf Pampa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Aresti didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlo Jerano fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico River Plate's protests and gave Carlo Jerano a yellow card for diving instead. 77 minutes into the game, one of Club Atletico River Plate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Democracia y Golf Pampa. Esteban Aresti stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Júlio Vasconcelos. 2-3. Jose Quinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Freddy Medero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Democracia y Golf Pampa's goalkeeper Freddy Medero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomiro Honesto. In the 87th match minute, Democracia y Golf Pampa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Orti to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Honesto got free with Freddy Medero in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 played minutes Democracia y Golf Pampa got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Diagur. In the 94th minute Anier Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atletico River Plate played a much better game than Democracia y Golf Pampa and deserved their victory. The Democracia y Golf Pampa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
