Club Atlético Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro James was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Isaac Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elcho F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Ritchie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Bertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro James's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Desiderio Faro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Cecilio Kusko hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Isaac Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Adrian Gurutz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Desiderio Faro. Elcho F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Gurutz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Pastor Nikola kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Isaac Ritchie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cipriano Bertin skillfully saved the ball. Cipriano Bertin came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Elcho F.C.'s Isaac Ritchie. But to his dismay, Isaac Ritchie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 66 minutes into the game, Adrian Gurutz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Desiderio Faro. Adrian Gurutz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. In the 70th minute, Edgardo Bembe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Bertin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. When Ciro James came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Club Atlético Banfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro James couldn't finish the play. Lázaro Astigar took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Bertin. Cipriano Bertin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. Cipriano Bertin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Bembe in the 88th minute of the match. Adrian Gurutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Edgardo Bembe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Cipriano Bertin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atlético Banfield's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
