Fernando Monetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Lucila in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Carlsen got a freekick which was hit by Joel Avellaneda. Fernando Monetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes Carlsen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Angel Gaueko who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Carnerillo's Angel Gaueko to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernando Monetti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Severiano Dominic made in the 18th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alfredo Lucila. Gabriel-Omar Batistuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Albino Ladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteve Guillelme's late challenge caught a Carnerillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteve Guillelme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Esteve Guillelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severiano Dominic kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. When Gabriel-Omar Batistuta came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Carlsen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel-Omar Batistuta couldn't finish the play. Angel Gaueko took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Monetti. Fernando Monetti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 43 minutes in the game Rufus Carter after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Albino Ladio. A very good opportunity. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Gaueko to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmelo Indalecio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Monetti. That made the score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Angel Gaueko did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Fernando Monetti 65 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel-Omar Batistuta in the 71st minute of play forced Carnerillo's goalkeeper Albino Ladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Carmelo Indalecio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Monetti. The goal made the score 0-5. A collision led to Carnerillo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Salvador Goito hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Angel Gaueko took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Fernando Monetti to make any attempt to save it. After 96 minutes of play, Carnerillo's Angel Gaueko made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Monetti was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Carnerillo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carlsen throughout the match.
