Marcelino Herena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemio Matia was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Higinio Casado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Higinio Casado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Artemio Matia was a little too slow when Higinio Casado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Hipolito Azubeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Intercontinental Series's Artemio Matia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Intercontinental Series from getting a goal against them. When Intercontinental Series's Ciriaco Farias in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

In the 52nd minute Higinio Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Matia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Casado in the 62nd minute of play. When Ciriaco Farias came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Intercontinental Series fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Farias couldn't finish the play. When Leonel Etxahun fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ◄♦♦Ðepørt¡vø M¡£ane§a♦♦►™'s protests and gave Leonel Etxahun a yellow card for diving instead. Leonel Etxahun hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Marcelino Herena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, ◄♦♦Ðepørt¡vø M¡£ane§a♦♦►™'s Hipolito Azubeli got a free kick in the 95th minute. Intercontinental Series's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
