The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elvio Aztore came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Uraguey's Rene Herensuge. But to his dismay, Rene Herensuge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th minute Rene Herensuge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Degaal FC. defense, Gabriel Gustavsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Aztore. The Degaal FC. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Aztore should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Rene Herensuge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uraguey's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Herensuge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Aztore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Aztore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Herensuge went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Elvio Aztore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Gustavsson in the 28th minute of play. Maximino Mogel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elvio Aztore. Degaal FC.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 31st minute, Rene Herensuge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Aztore was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The supporters of Degaal FC. booed when Uraguey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Gustavsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Casimiro Conrao made a precise shot to the right of Elvio Aztore. Degaal FC.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5.

53 minutes into the game, Uraguey's Rene Herensuge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvio Aztore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 56th minute of the match Maximino Mogel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvio Aztore skillfully saved the ball. When Rene Herensuge came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Uraguey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Herensuge couldn't finish the play. Elvio Aztore was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Gabriel Gustavsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriel Gustavsson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Honorio Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Elvio Baudelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvio Aztore made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Rene Herensuge sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the match, Degaal FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Gustavsson came free, but Elvio Aztore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Herensuge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Elvio Aztore made a huge save. 86 minutes into the game, Uraguey's Gabriel Gustavsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvio Aztore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Rene Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
