Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erasto Cañaveral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gustavo Pere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laureano Mundo having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Sagrario got free with Erasto Cañaveral in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd match minute, Retiro Deportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Vitin to maneuver through the defense. Pilón AFC's Nicanor Vela shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erasto Cañaveral but with some difficulty. If Gustavo Pere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejo Salbatore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59thth minute of the game Enrique Sagrario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retiro Deportivo's Erasto Cañaveral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Enrique Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilón AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Sagrario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasto Cañaveral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Pilón AFC booed when Retiro Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasto Cañaveral came out of the goal and Enrique Sagrario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejo Salbatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Retiro Deportivo's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Nalo came free, but Erasto Cañaveral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Angel Noe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Retiro Deportivo's Erasto Cañaveral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Salbatore in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Rigoberto Quentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasto Cañaveral was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
