In the 27th minute Herminio Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Mel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mariano Quinito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Stanislao hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Academia RC's Ivan Reichenberg tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Matro made a kick off. Rafael Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Quinito, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Matro in the 69th minute of play forced Academia RC's goalkeeper Florentino Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
