Luciano Jakes scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Etxeberri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Linch's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Paio came free, but Diego Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Linch's Diego Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Paio in the 31st minute of play. Luciano Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Etxeberri having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Paulo Ofelio took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Diego Etxeberri to make any attempt to save it. Claudio Dantel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Jobo having to interfere. Albano Naelio charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albano Naelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Candelaria FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Linch. Gualterio Brais stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sixto Jobo. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Lizer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luciano Jakes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Diego Etxeberri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Candelaria FC. Claudio Dantel might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixto Jobo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Dantel ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Linch getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Claudio Dantel hit a great ball. Paulo Ofelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Linch! The referee gave La Candelaria FC a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luciano Jakes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Linch's Diego Etxeberri. 3-2. When La Candelaria FC's Blas Paio in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Linch's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute of the game, Claudio Dantel landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Paulo Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Ofelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ambrosio Tonio made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Linch's Morgan Mange. Blas Paio hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Linch's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Paio came free, but Diego Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Paio in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Blas Paio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Paulo Ofelio came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the La Candelaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Ofelio couldn't finish the play. Diego Etxeberri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Paio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Jakes in the 95th minute of play forced Linch's goalkeeper Diego Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Linch defense, Blas Paio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Etxeberri. The Linch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Etxeberri should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Linch players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for La Candelaria FC.
