Spectators: 7319 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 4) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zeledon Cebo made the kick off which started today's match. 7 minutes into the match, Loncopué FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Berdaitz came free, but Rene Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Rene Claris successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Zeledon Cebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Huemul's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Cebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Claris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute of the match, Zeledon Cebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rene Claris was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anibal Hanni charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Hanni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Loncopué FC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Hanni. Zeledon Cebo took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Claris. Rene Claris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Ciro Araoz's late challenge caught a Loncopué FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Araoz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Ciro Araoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Marcos Berdaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes, Zeledon Cebo made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Loncopué FC's Rene Claris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeledon Cebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Claris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Cebo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Loncopué FC's goalkeeper Rene Claris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Zeledon Cebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rene Claris, 5-0. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Zeledon Cebo put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rene Claris. Zeledon Cebo struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rene Claris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Huemul. When El Huemul's Marcos Berdaitz in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Loncopué FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Berdaitz in the 41st minute of play forced Loncopué FC's goalkeeper Rene Claris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Eder was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. El Huemul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. El Huemul were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Loncopué FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abelardo Barrionuevo took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Ciro Araoz got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 8-0. 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Osoro made a kick off. Rene Claris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Rene Claris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Eder in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, El Huemul's Arnulfo Jayvier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Claris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. The audience was convinced that Marcos Berdaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Claris was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st minute Javier Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Claris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Cebo in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute El Huemul were awarded a corner. Abelardo Barrionuevo went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Javier Calisto at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Loncopué FC. 10-0. In the 67th minute, Marcos Berdaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Huemul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. If Virgilio Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carolo Lano's late challenge caught a El Huemul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Marcos Berdaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Claris having to interfere. Loncopué FC's Rene Claris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Barrionuevo in the 75th minute of play. Ciro Araoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rene Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ariel Sarracino fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loncopué FC's protests and gave Ariel Sarracino a yellow card for diving instead. El Huemul made a substitution. Anacleto Navarro replaced Javier Calisto. In the 78th minute, Ariel Sarracino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Zeledon Cebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Rene Claris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. El Huemul's Dallas Smalley was substituted for Zeledon Cebo. 84 minutes into the match, Loncopué FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dallas Smalley came free, but Rene Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dallas Smalley in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Claris saved Loncopué FC from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Anacleto Navarro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Claris was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. The audience was convinced that Dallas Smalley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Claris was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. If Virgilio Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Abelardo Barrionuevo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Huemul's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Barrionuevo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Claris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ciro Araoz came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the El Huemul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Araoz couldn't finish the play. El Huemul's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
