If Bahadır-Togay O'Brien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inocencio Abastas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filip Naaijer might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Berenguer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Naaijer ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Roldanillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bahadır-Togay O'Brien's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Emiliano Machado hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Platense's Alvaro Berenguer got control of the ball when Adolfo Milian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Platense's Alvaro Berenguer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Laurin in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filip Naaijer was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Vikingos getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rodolfo Laurin hit a great ball. Bahadır-Togay O'Brien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Freddy Roldanillo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Platense's Emiliano Machado got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Naaijer in the 63rd minute of play forced Platense's goalkeeper Alvaro Berenguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Roldanillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vikingos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Cristian Matxin scored to the left of an out of position Freddy Roldanillo, making the score, 1-2. Alvaro Berenguer came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikingos's Adolfo Milian. But to his dismay, Adolfo Milian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When Aquilino Bonifaco fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Platense's protests and gave Aquilino Bonifaco a yellow card for diving instead. Alvaro Berenguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Naaijer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Platense's Bahadır-Togay O'Brien in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
