Adolfo Milian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Venancio Macerio made a huge save. A collision led to Vikingos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ricardo Tano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vikingos's zone, Primitivo Lia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Roldanillo came out of the goal and Primitivo Lia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haroldo Hartz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddy Roldanillo. Vikingos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Primitivo Lia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Roldanillo having to make a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Ilídio Lemos put in a rough tackle. Freddy Roldanillo had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Eriberto Joseph's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Juventud Obrera CSD were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Vikingos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eriberto Joseph took the corner. Eriberto Joseph made a great header on Juventud Obrera CSD's corner, it was just that Vikingos's Freddy Roldanillo managed to reach the ball for a save. Freddy Roldanillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niceto Orlan's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Venancio Macerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Laurin's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. If Filip Naaijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Nisio struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Venancio Macerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikingos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niceto Orlan in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Roldanillo saved Vikingos from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 77th minute Filip Naaijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Macerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Filip Naaijer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Venancio Macerio was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Rodolfo Laurin might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venancio Macerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodolfo Laurin ran back to his position shaking his head. Filip Naaijer struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Filip Naaijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eloy Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Naaijer in the 94th minute of play forced Juventud Obrera CSD's goalkeeper Venancio Macerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Macerio having to interfere. Vikingos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
