Luis Raymundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Boselli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Navarro came free, but Anastasio Brais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Raymundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garðar Jóhannsson in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Olimpo's goal looked a bit too open when Garðar Jóhannsson came free, but Luis Raymundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Anastasio Brais throw himself and got hold of the ball when Zacarias Navarro in the 33rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Luis Raymundo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olimpo's Luis Raymundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Boselli in the 45th minute of play. Luis Raymundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Ado, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Garðar Jóhannsson made the kick off in the second half. Garðar Jóhannsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Raymundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 92 minutes of play, Olimpo's Fabian Nicholas made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Brais was left in no man's land by his defense there! Belgrano played a much better game than Olimpo and deserved their victory. The Olimpo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
