In the 41st minute Humberto Valerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Estefan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Baldomero Mergildo made a huge save. 47 minutes into the match, Toco y me voy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Valerio came free, but Baldomero Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Toco y me voy FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
