Palmas's Honorio Frederico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Olayo in the 3rd minute of play. Bernabe Rainerio struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Honorio Frederico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Echeverría. Echeverría's Domingo Eguntsenti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Echeverría from getting a goal against them. Honorio Frederico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Olayo's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Palmas's zone, Bernabe Rainerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Frederico came out of the goal and Bernabe Rainerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernabe Rainerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Policarpio. 27 minutes into the game, Tobias Tonio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Echeverría the free kick. Tobias Tonio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Kusko. 30 minutes into the match, Echeverría's Igor Olayo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorio Frederico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Anier Jacob reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Domingo Eguntsenti. The goal made the score 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anier Jacob was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Palmas booed when Echeverría was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Jusepe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Frederico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Jusepe in the 56th minute. Saturnino Cordeiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Honorio Frederico. Palmas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palmas's Adrian Policarpio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 69th match minute, Echeverría was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Rainerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Honorio Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingo Eguntsenti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Jacob in the 76th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Echeverría got a freekick which was hit by Angel Inguma. Echeverría's Pedro Jakobe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Erasmo Kusko in the 87 minute of the game. A collision led to Palmas getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tobias Tonio hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Palmas could leave the field as winners, despite Echeverría having more of the ball for most of the match.
