With an all-out effort, CA Justicialismo Unido's Roman Precioso threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Melquiades Ugutz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Taladro's Roman Precioso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Ugutz in the 14th minute of play. Benigno Bikendi's late challenge caught a CA Justicialismo Unido's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Arotza to make the kick off.
