Santo Martxot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clemente Claude did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Santo Martxot 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marthafoker FC's zone, Sebastian Cresenciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Martxot came out of the goal and Sebastian Cresenciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Marthafoker FC defense, Clemente Claude kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Martxot. The Marthafoker FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Martxot should have stopped the shot. The Gaviotas FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Gaviotas FC's Taco Huizinga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Santo Martxot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Claude in the 28th minute. Santo Martxot came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gaviotas FC's Sebastian Cresenciano. But to his dismay, Sebastian Cresenciano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Santo Martxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Cresenciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Santo Martxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taco Huizinga in the 38th minute of play. Taco Huizinga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Martxot having to interfere. Santo Martxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Sansone, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Taco Huizinga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaviotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taco Huizinga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Gaviotas FC's Sebastian Cresenciano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santo Martxot. Santo Martxot yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Claude to strike the kick off in the second half.
