Melquiades Larra charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Larra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gramilla booed when Borbotones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Larra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 minutes, Danilo Domiku mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gramilla and the Borbotones players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Gramilla's zone, Melquiades Larra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gogo Normando came out of the goal and Melquiades Larra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Danilo Domiku came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Gramilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Domiku couldn't finish the play. After 62 minutes, Miguel Martino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borbotones and the Gramilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Borbotones's Miguel Martino got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gustavo Joanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Tiadoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roque Tiadoro came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Gramilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Tiadoro couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Gramilla left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Borbotones.
