In the 7th minute of the match Yo Soy Tu Padre got a corner. C.A.U.V.K's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernardino Obano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Yo Soy Tu Padre's Bernardino Obano to fire away a dangerous shot which Roger Short despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Florentino Enetz struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Roger Short didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yo Soy Tu Padre. 14 minutes into the match, C.A.U.V.K's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Piorno came free, but Roger Short reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Short came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Yo Soy Tu Padre's Elias Blasi. But to his dismay, Elias Blasi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Vicente Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Short saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Asier in the 23rd minute of play forced C.A.U.V.K's goalkeeper Roger Short to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Guaberto Roldan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Moises Laurgain, 1-1. In the 28th minute Florentino Enetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Short saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Enetz in the 31st minute of play forced C.A.U.V.K's goalkeeper Roger Short to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yo Soy Tu Padre's Moises Laurgain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Castulo in the 39th minute of play. The corner ended in Eloy Jurgi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yo Soy Tu Padre's Moises Laurgain did a great save. 45 minutes into the match, Yo Soy Tu Padre's Bernardino Obano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Short narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Florentino Enetz made the kick off in the second half. Roger Short showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Blasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Roger Short made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardino Obano in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Marcelino Jurgi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Short saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by René Branca during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A.U.V.K's Aaron Lertxun got a free kick in the 60th minute. C.A.U.V.K's Roger Short proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save C.A.U.V.K from getting a goal against them. When Clemente Oalo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.U.V.K's protests and gave Clemente Oalo a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes C.A.U.V.K got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Oalo. In the 77th match minute, Yo Soy Tu Padre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Igon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of C.A.U.V.K booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Enetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Castulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Moises Laurgain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the C.A.U.V.K defense, René Branca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Short. The C.A.U.V.K fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Short should have stopped the shot. C.A.U.V.K were furious when Cornelio Sancho was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 86 minutes into the game, one of C.A.U.V.K:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Florentino Enetz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Roger Short tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yo Soy Tu Padre's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
