Simon Santa María started the match with the kick off. Victoriano Quiroga made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Fidel Fe sent off a good shot on target. In the 4th minute, Ernesto Maurin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo O´connor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Victoriano Quiroga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Maurin went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Duraznito's Victoriano Quiroga got control of the ball when Ernesto Maurin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sportivo O´connor were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Duraznito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eustaquio Rolado took the corner. Eustaquio Rolado made a great header on Sportivo O´connor's corner, it was just that Duraznito's Victoriano Quiroga managed to reach the ball for a save. Santiago Mele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Raymond in the 15th minute of the match. Victoriano Quiroga made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ernesto Maurin sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute of the match, Ernesto Maurin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Victoriano Quiroga was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sportivo O´connor's Teobaldo Normando quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elpidio Etxeberri, made in the 20th minute of the game. Victoriano Quiroga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Maurin in the 28th minute. Sportivo O´connor's Ernesto Maurin pulled a muscle in his leg after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 34 minutes into the game, Cosme Orlondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Duraznito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo O´connor the free kick. Sportivo O´connor made a substitution. Honorio Pio replaced Ernesto Maurin. Cosme Orlondo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Simon Santa María received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victoriano Quiroga came out and tried to block the shot, but Simon Santa María slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 37th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Duraznito's goalkeeper Victoriano Quiroga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Pio. In the 46th minute of the match, Honorio Pio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Victoriano Quiroga was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Honorio Pio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Victoriano Quiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Aguilera to make the kick off. Sportivo O´connor's Honorio Pio got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Pio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Quiroga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Kaare Carlberg hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Honorio Pio might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Quiroga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Honorio Pio ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 played minutes Duraznito got a freekick which was hit by Kaare Carlberg. Simon Santa María received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Victoriano Quiroga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Sportivo O´connor's Honorio Pio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victoriano Quiroga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 72 minutes into the match, Sportivo O´connor's goalkeeper Santiago Mele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urbano Aguilera. Sportivo O´connor's Cleto Oskitz was substituted for Teobaldo Normando. Duraznito made a substitution. Justino Jayvier replaced Cristobal Raymond. Duraznito's Nestor Guifre was substituted for Elpidio Etxeberri. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Simon Santa María sped through Duraznito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victoriano Quiroga. If Honorio Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute Simon Santa María shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Quiroga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Duraznito got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Guifre. 91 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Rolado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Quiroga. Duraznito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustaquio Rolado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Honorio Pio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo O´connor's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Pio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Quiroga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
