After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Español's Ivan Mendebal got a free kick in the 31st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Eugenio Oliverios successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. It was a well-played corner which Severo Jordy managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Español's Pascual Pere got a free kick in the 38th minute. Eugenio Oliverios made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacek Cieslak in the 39th minute. Eugenio Oliverios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Sauveur in the 42nd minute of the match. Club Deportivo Español's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximo Isauro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Jacek Cieslak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Oliverios was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Gaspar Sauveur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Eugenio Oliverios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulises Favila charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Favila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulises Favila hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Jacek Cieslak came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Los pibes del corner fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacek Cieslak couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Español defense, Jacek Cieslak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Oliverios. The Club Deportivo Español fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Oliverios should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los pibes del corner fully deserved thier win.
