Conrado Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Rojelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Rojelio in the 16th minute of play forced Great Footballers S.A.'s goalkeeper Conrado Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Roosevelt's Martin Nerio got control of the ball when Alfonso Brun tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Roosevelt's Aquiles Kaxen got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Roosevelt's Alberto Rojelio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Dei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 35th minute, Alfonso Brun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Nerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 39th minute, Great Footballers S.A.'s Astor Errapel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Roosevelt's zone, Victorino Silban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Nerio came out of the goal and Victorino Silban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Matxin to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Roosevelt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Criston to maneuver through the defense. Great Footballers S.A.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
