Braulio Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Segio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Braulio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Chale in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, BS AS's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Chale came free, but Braulio Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Chale went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Eusebio Eusko fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Almirante Brown's protests and gave Eusebio Eusko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Club Almirante Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Eusko to maneuver through the defense. Magne Zachrisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Dolfos having to interfere. In the 21st minute Benedicto Chale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Chale's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Nicanor Ceandro charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicanor Ceandro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Benedicto Chale put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Braulio Santana. When Tony Stuckens came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the BS AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Stuckens couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Segio to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Benedicto Chale got a very nice opportunity to score, but Braulio Santana was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Club Almirante Brown booed when BS AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Stuckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Chale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Braulio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Segio in the 61st minute of play forced BS AS's goalkeeper Braulio Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magne Zachrisson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Niceto Senon's late challenge caught a Club Almirante Brown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niceto Senon helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of BS AS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Almirante Brown:s goal. BS AS:s Braulio Santana showed great skill when he stopped Benedicto Chale:s penalty. Benedicto Chale scored 0-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Santana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BS AS's Braulio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Segio in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Almirante Brown's Nicanor Ceandro got a free kick in the 70th minute. Isidoro Dolfos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magne Zachrisson in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Stuckens in the 80th minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Club Almirante Brown's Benedicto Chale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 90th minute, Fabricio Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braulio Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Segio in the 95th minute of the match. Benedicto Chale might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braulio Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedicto Chale ran back to his position shaking his head. The BS AS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Almirante Brown's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Almirante Brown.
