In the 31st minute Luisito Oton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Salvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Richie got free with Raimundo Fernandes in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Sunchales's zone, Luisito Oton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Salvino came out of the goal and Luisito Oton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Sunchales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Santos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Pilar Birds FC booed when Sunchales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Oton in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Salvino prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Porfirio to strike the kick off in the second half. Amador Eguntsenti hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Raimundo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Porfirio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th play minute Luisito Oton came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leopoldo Salvino. 0-1. Pilar Birds FC's attentive Javier Iban managed to snatch the ball when Ismael Silvino made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Emiliano Porfirio made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Fernandes. Pilar Birds FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Emiliano Porfirio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Fernandes having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Jorge Richie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Oriol took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leopoldo Salvino. Sunchales's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emiliano Porfirio kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Pilar Birds FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Godfredo Eneko hit a great ball. Emiliano Porfirio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sunchales's Leopoldo Salvino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Sunchales from getting a goal against them.
