Baltasar Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Jaizki in the 28th minute of the match. Baltasar Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 35 minutes, Isidro Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilaquina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Manuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Cristian Tauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Mercurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Berisso Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Manuelo came free, but Baltasar Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 55th minute, Alonzo Mede ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Ur was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Manuelo in the 61st minute of play forced Berisso Dortmund's goalkeeper Baltasar Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ildefonso Cordario hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Berisso Dortmund's Everardo Rayman got a free kick in the 66th minute. With a little luck, Berisso Dortmund's Baltasar Mercurio got control of the ball when Cristian Tauro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicanor Rosio during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
