In the 4th minute of the match, Teodoro Orland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ambrosio Jerrold saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Maipú's attentive Moises Abar managed to snatch the ball when Froilan Seme made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. Eleuterio Telo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The supporters of Maipú booed when Equipo Abandonado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Cresenciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doyle Forrest showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Asteri in the 18th minute of the match. Ambrosio Jerrold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Francho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Equipo Abandonado's Doyle Forrest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Asteri in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Faustino Asteri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doyle Forrest saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Froilan Seme threw the ball into play from the sideline. Maipú's Moises Abar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 31 minutes of play, Equipo Abandonado's Edgard Quinto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ambrosio Jerrold was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Maipú getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Faustino Asteri hit a great ball. Equipo Abandonado's Doyle Forrest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Asteri in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bonifacio Asteri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Doyle Forrest managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Maipú's Alejo Garin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Equipo Abandonado's zone, Alejo Garin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doyle Forrest came out of the goal and Alejo Garin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doyle Forrest didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Asteri went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Miguel Rozarius's late challenge caught a Equipo Abandonado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Rozarius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Miguel Rozarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th match minute, Equipo Abandonado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Francho to maneuver through the defense. Doyle Forrest made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Asteri in the 69th minute. The supporters of Maipú booed when Equipo Abandonado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Formerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Asteri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doyle Forrest read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Faustino Asteri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doyle Forrest. Equipo Abandonado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Asteri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Asteri in the 86th minute of play forced Equipo Abandonado's goalkeeper Doyle Forrest to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Asteri in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doyle Forrest prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Asteri in the 94th minute of play forced Equipo Abandonado's goalkeeper Doyle Forrest to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Maipú left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Equipo Abandonado.
