In the 37th minute Jeronimo Reno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Belarmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, PUEBLO NUEVO AFC's Aristides Shantala got a free kick in the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaudencio Hartz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavino Belarmo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jacobs Veitch sent off a good shot on target. Baltasar Rumaldo's late challenge caught a Metapalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Rumaldo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Metapalo FC. Gaudencio Hartz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iker Txomin. 3-0. Metapalo FC made a substitution. Ronaldinho Hoffmann replaced Gaudencio Hartz. After a defensive mix-up in PUEBLO NUEVO AFC's zone, Ronaldinho Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Txomin came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Aristides Shantala fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PUEBLO NUEVO AFC's protests and gave Aristides Shantala a yellow card for diving instead. Aristides Shantala hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Mariano Pavone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Joop Deswarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Pablo Marmol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metapalo FC and the PUEBLO NUEVO AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Metapalo FC fully deserved thier win.
