Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 9th minute Gaspar Veremundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Gaitano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Nereo Evangelista made a huge save. Vladimiro Isidor succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 19th minute, Vladimiro Isidor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nereo Evangelista. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 23rd minute Delmiro Oalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Checa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led La Guardia Imperial's Gregorio Artal to fire away a dangerous shot which Baldomero Checa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Herminio Benat's late challenge caught a Low Cost FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herminio Benat helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Low Cost FC booed when La Guardia Imperial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Gaspar Veremundo in the 28th minute really tested Nereo Evangelista's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 35th minute Gaspar Veremundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Low Cost FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Checa should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Javier Celino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. La Guardia Imperial's Nereo Evangelista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Isidor in the 53rd minute of play. Nereo Evangelista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Estebe in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Celino in the 59th minute of play forced La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Nereo Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Delmiro Oalo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomero Checa. Low Cost FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Oalo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Nereo Evangelista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Celino in the 78th minute of play forced La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Nereo Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, La Guardia Imperial's Carlos Atarratze got a free kick in the 81st minute. Nereo Evangelista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Isidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Low Cost FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
