José Carlos Damião had several of the Mercedes AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Albino Eliazar as he didn't even see the shot coming. 13 minutes into the match, José Carlos Damião notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mercedes AFC's Albino Eliazar. Salvador Lazcano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 5-2 when José Carlos Damião sped through Mercedes AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Albino Eliazar. 37 minutes into the match, José Carlos Damião dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albino Eliazar, 6-2. Albino Eliazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Palban, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, José Carlos Damião left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merced AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Maraman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes AFC's zone, José Carlos Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Eliazar came out of the goal and José Carlos Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Cosme Filipo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albino Eliazar. Mercedes AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cosme Filipo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-2. In the 63rd minute, Baltasar Alfonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, José Carlos Damião put it in 9-2 from a short distance just to the right of Albino Eliazar. Albino Eliazar came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Merced AFC's José Carlos Damião. But to his dismay, José Carlos Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-2. A collision led to Mercedes AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luisito Baraquiel hit a great ball. Albino Eliazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Rywin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mercedes AFC were furious when Cornelio Acuña was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mercedes AFC! The referee gave Merced AFC a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cosme Filipo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mercedes AFC's Albino Eliazar. 11-2. Norberto Palban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Eliazar having to interfere. The Merced AFC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Merced AFC's José Carlos Damião looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 12-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Norberto Palban fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merced AFC's protests and gave Norberto Palban a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Merced AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Norberto Palban hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Epifanio Claus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Eliazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
