Hernan Fernandez came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gutemberg's Oscar Ramond. But to his dismay, Oscar Ramond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 36 played minutes Viento Norte got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Lizer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Astudillo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roberto Nastasio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Gavino Filipo notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Viento Norte's Hernan Fernandez. Hernan Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Gutemberg were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Edgard Senio fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viento Norte's protests and gave Edgard Senio a yellow card for diving instead. Hernan Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Filipo in the 88th minute of play.
