The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Ilazki Abadie made a precise shot to the right of José Vítor Paes. Pumas Fútbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Rosendo Ugutz scored to the left of an out of position Ariel Baldovino, making the score, 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Pumas Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Ariel Baldovino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Peruxu. Pumas Fútbol Club's Ariel Baldovino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Pumas Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. Ariel Baldovino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Maura in the 29th minute of play. Troncos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardino Ur in the 36th minute. It was a well-played corner which Rosendo Ugutz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Troncos FC's José Vítor Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Nalo in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Rosendo Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baldomiro Pérez made a kick off. Ariel Baldovino came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Troncos FC's Mario Chaime. But to his dismay, Mario Chaime quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ariel Baldovino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Ugutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ilazki Abadie struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. José Vítor Paes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pumas Fútbol Club. When Rosendo Ugutz came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Troncos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosendo Ugutz couldn't finish the play. Ariel Baldovino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Ugutz in the 70th minute of the match. Ariel Baldovino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Pérez in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match, Israel Blanco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Vítor Paes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 3-1 became the score in the 78th minute when Rosendo Ugutz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ariel Baldovino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
