An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Txerran in the 12th minute of play forced Resbalito AFC's goalkeeper Faustino Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Milev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Faustino Ticho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 37 played minutes Mateo FC got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Gaúcho. When Alberto Urtats came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Resbalito AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Urtats couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mateo FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gabriel Milev hit a great ball. Benigno Banegas charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benigno Banegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Urtats stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Resbalito AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilfredo Ulizes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Mateo FC's Dráuzio Gaúcho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Mateo FC's Gabriel Milev got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Angel Txerran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Ticho was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Gabriel Milev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mateo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some careless play in the Resbalito AFC defense, Dráuzio Gaúcho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustino Ticho. The Resbalito AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustino Ticho should have stopped the shot. Angel Txerran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Faustino Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Resbalito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Txerran came free, but Faustino Ticho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Gabriel Milev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustino Ticho. Resbalito AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Milev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Faustino Ticho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mateo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
