After 6 played minutes Potrerillo Azuleño got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Munio. When Hector Tonete came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Potrerillo Azuleño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Tonete couldn't finish the play. Potrerillo Azuleño's Fidel Hug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Onofre in the 17th minute of play. Fidel Hug breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrício Pedrozo to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteve Maura got free with Fidel Hug in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Potrerillo Azuleño's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The referee ignored Potrerillo Azuleño's protests and gave Isaias Lop a yellow card for diving instead. Isaias Lop hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Esteve Maura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Fidel Hug made a huge save. Israel Baraquiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Matías Tagliamonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Hector Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Tagliamonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Alvarado's Esteve Maura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fidel Hug. That made the score 0-5 after 83 minutes of play. Club Atlético Alvarado made a substitution. Alan Engelsen replaced Esteve Maura. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hector Tonete during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlético Alvarado booed when Potrerillo Azuleño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Tonete didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Potrerillo Azuleño fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Atlético Alvarado were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
